Chelsea, with a serious interest in the transfer of Ronaldo, has been discussed between the heads of the club and the player’s agent
Chelsea is insisting on the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to the journalist from “The Athletic”, David Ornstein, the club from London is considering the possibility of moving the Portuguese, reports Rhewal.
Manchester United currently say that Ronaldo is not for sale, but interest from Chelsea is not excluded.
Talks with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, are continuing – as new Blues owners Boehly and Eghbali are intrigued by the idea of signing the Portugal international.
Chelsea manager Thomas Thuchel is said to admire the 37-year-old, but it is not yet clear whether he would approve his move.
According to Ornstein, there will be many factors Chelsea need to consider if the idea of signing the five-time Ballon d’Or winner becomes a real possibility.
Finances are not an obstacle for the Londoners, as it is said that Tuchel’s desire would also be key.
It is still unclear whether Manchester United’s attitude will change, as the “Red Devils” will have to enter into talks with a rival like Chelsea.
Otherwise, Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with the “Red Devils” expires on June 30, 2023. In the agreement, there is also an option to continue the cooperation for one more year. /Express newspaper/
