“It is not easy”, the president of Mallroca talks about the possible transfer of Muriq
The president of RCD Mallorca, Alfonso Diaz, has spoken about the possible transfer of Vedat Muriqi.
The Kosovar striker spent the last half-season on loan at Mallorca from Lazio, as he recorded good performances – Rhewal reports.
Thanks to good performances, the Spanish club is considering the possibility of buying Muriqi’s card entirely.
But the head of the Mallorca club has admitted that negotiations with Lazio have stalled due to the high cost.
“The solution is not easy. The amount they demand (12 million euros) is difficult for us to accept. “The issue is on the table, there is time left and he is a player that interests us”, Diaz declared in a press conference.
Muriqi scored five goals and provided three assists with the Mallorca shirt, while his contribution was crucial for the team’s survival in La Liga.
Otherwise, Galatasaray is seen as Mallorca’s main rival in the race for the transfer of the Kosovo representative.
The 28-year-old has a contract valid until June 30, 2025. He was transferred to Lazio in 2020 from Fenerbahçe for 20 million euros. /Express newspaper/
