Dukagjin Gorani: Governments that save in times of crisis should be brought to justice
Journalist Dukagjin Gorani while talking about the Kurti Government said that governments that save in times of crisis should be brought to justice.
Gorani in the show ‘Pressing’ on T7 said that saving money by the government is very harmful for such a weak economy that Kosovo has.
“A government that experiences the fact that they have pipes as a success has collected money from customs taxes, and experiencing it as a great success is in principle a conservative worldview. However, as much as overspending is a criminal offense, it is a crime the more it is underspending. Especially in times of crisis, economies that are under-spending and therefore remain in surplus are governments that need to be brought to justice. “Saving and saving money by the government is very harmful for an already weak economy that we have”, said Gorani.
He further said that Kosovo is likely that in terms of public money, there is more money that stays there, while there is an extraordinary need for that money to be put into circulation.
“There is not much foreign investment, there is not much cash flow, and where the almost largest employer in the country is the government, it is power and underspending. “I do not know how development economists are not discussing this. It is likely that in terms of public money, Kosovo has more money that stays with it, while there is an extraordinary need for that money to be put into circulation”, said Gorani.
